Loughner: ‘Being alone … will inevitably lead you to rape’

"I know how to cut a body open and eat you for more then a week. ;-)"

"Does anyone have aggression 24/7?"

"Being alone for a very long time will inevitably lead you to rape."

These postings to an online gaming forum, and others like them, shed further light on the troubled mental state of Jared Loughner, the suspect in Saturday's deadly Tucson shootings.

The postings, obtained by the Wall Street Journal, suggest that over the last year, Loughner grew increasingly angry and tormented over his inability to maintain a job, his lack of success with women, and his general isolation from society. And like some of his previously reported online postings, they suggest an interest in the fringe conspiracy theory that mathematics is being used as a form of social control.

Loughner posted the messages on a private forum for the online game Earth Empires. He played the game under various pseudonyms, including Cries, Cry, Heroin, XTC and Erad.

On April 24, Loughner titled a thread: "Would you hit a Handy Cap Child/ Adult?" Underneath, he wrote: "This is a very interesting question. ... There are mental retarded children. They're possessing teachers that are typing for money. This will never stop. ... The drug addicts need to be weeded out to be more intelligent. The Principle of this is that them c— educators need to stop being pigs."

The same day, he titled another post "Why Rape." According to the Journal, it said women in college enjoyed being raped. "There are Rape victims that are under the influence of a substance. The drinking is leading them to rape. The loneliness will bring you to depression. Being alone for a very long time will inevitably lead you to rape."

On May 5, he started a thread titled "Talk, Talk, Talking about Rejection," asking gamers for stories of rejection by the opposite sex. The following day, he wrote: "Its funny...when..they say lets go on a date about 3 times..and they dont....go..."

May 9: "Its funny when your 60 wondering......what happen at 21."

And the same day: "Does anyone have aggression 24/7?"

May 10: "If you went to prison right now...What would you be thinking?"

On May 14, Loughner lamented his job woes. He started a thread titled "How many applications....is a lot?," which appeared to list 21 retail outlets -- including Crate & Barrel, Wendy's and Domino's Pizza -- where he had failed to get a job. He wrote that his work history and criminal record made things difficult. (Records indicate that Loughner had been arrested several times, sometimes for drug-related offenses, but did not have any criminal convictions.)

He added: "I'm thinking....2 misdemeanors hurt. Don't do Graffiti."

After another gamer advised him that he should show potential employers references and a list of previous jobs, he replied in what the Journal describes as a "profanity-laced message" that he knew that already. Then he wrote, "CANT HOLD TERMINATION AGAINST FUTURE EMPLOYEE !" 117 times.

The next day, Lougher wrote that he hadn't had a paycheck in six months.

On May 20, he wrote: "I bet your hungry....Because i know how to cut a body open and eat you for more then a week. ;-)"

In June, Loughner wrote that he had submitted 65 applications, but received "no interview."

On June 3, he wrote that he had asked a teacher at his community college, "Are you just getting a pay check for brainwashing?" and "can you tell me how to Deny math?" He said the teacher told him that it was a stupid question and that he should "GET OUT OF MY CLASS!"

The next day, he wrote that he'd had to see a school counselor. "Told her about brainwashing a child and how that can change the view of mathematics."

Posting to the gaming forum apparently lifted Loughner's spirits. On May 2, he wrote: "This forum made me feel better," and added a smiley face emoticon.
