    Terrifying gas tanker explosion caught on video

    A gas tanker exploded on a highway in central China on Saturday, killing five people.

    A passenger on a bus captured some harrowing footage of the blast on the Hunan Chang-Ji highway. In the video, posted on YouTube, motorists are seen running away from the overturned tanker, which flipped outside a tunnel, before the powerful explosion.

    A separate surveillance video—posted by London's Telegraph—shows the cars near the the tanker being engulfed by the smoke.

    According to state broadcaster CCTV, 20 tons of liquified natural gas had leaked before the explosion. Three firefighters were among those killed.
