Ryan Truex to miss Michigan race after practice crash

Ryan Truex won't drive in Sunday's race at Michigan after he crashed during Saturday morning's first practice. He'll be replaced in the No. 83 car by J.J. Yeley.

Truex lost control of his car in turn two and slammed into the outside wall. He walked from his car to the ambulance but was then transported to a local hospital because of a headache and shoulder pain. BK Racing announced Saturday afternoon that Truex had suffered a concussion. He underwent a series of CT scans at the hospital which were all negative.

Truex has raced in 19 of the 22 Sprint Cup Series races this season. He didn't qualify at Daytona, Texas and the first Michigan race. Yeley has run in six races so far this season.
