Cardale Jones pretends to transfer to Akron in Twitter prank
Cardale Jones nearly caused thousands of heart attacks in Ohio on Friday afternoon.
Jones, the Ohio State quarterback who led the Buckeyes to a national title, tweeted that he was leaving the school for a “new beginning” and “fresh start” at Akron.
He even made his entire profile Akron themed and changed his bio to simply “Fresh Start.”
After a few tense minutes for Ohio State fans, Jones revealed that it was all a joke and tweeted “May Fools.”
