      Mike try to put yourself is the position forced on one of these young boys, which would be bent over or on your knees. While you are there someone comes in sees what is going on and then he leaves goes over to Joe Paternos, who hadn't lost his mind yet, and tries to tell him in graphic detail what he had seen. Joe throws up his hands and starts yell enough, enough that's more then I want to hear. Then Paterno send this guy to campus police, then the AD and Pres, the cops already know about what's going on as well as the DA, and there has been a Grand Jury involved and God only knows who else. So, by now you have been betrayed more times then you can count by those that your family has trusted you with, and other that are suppose to be protecting all our children. But because you are an at risk child, someone that most likely has had some problems already, and whose family most likely has many problems also, you know that you can't go home and tell mom what has just happened to you, and you can't tell your best friend, if you have one, and you can't tell someone in authority at school, we have already seen what happens there. Not only has all of this been piled on your shoulders, it isn't over, like you said some of these boys have had to wait, in shame, over a decade to have what happen to them to come to light. But Mike it still isn't over because the guy that did this to you, and them is being allowed to run free, and there are a whole lot of people with a mind-set like yours that want to protect those that let this go on and on for years, because the ones that did this to them are, in your mind and in the minds of people like you, some kind of football heroes, that need and deserve your loyalty and protection.
      If you were a victim Mike do you think you could ever forget, do you think that there are those who will always think that you, as a victim, should have just walked away, who will the finger be pointed at when years from now this story is told, would you as a victim Mike think it is being pointed at you, even if it weren't? What would Mike think you would have pop into your mind every time Pen State won a football game, if you Mike were the Victim?

      Joe Paterno's treatment by Penn St is awful . This is part of big business treatment of
      employees who are older and Penn St. want to find a fall guy. What can be expected from an 83 y/o man who has given his life to Penn state and then asked to to recall what happened over a decade ago!!! Come on!!!

        Joe Paterno got exactly what he deserved. He's was hardly a fall guy, as for recalling what happened a decade ago, who didn't he DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT a decade ago, when he had the chance (and by your "logic" a better memory)? What did he not get about the horror of child sexual abuse at that time? He set himself up for this by not checking that famous moral compass of his. Paterno is the single most influential person at that school, the face of the campus, the "pater familias." The only suits he'll be involved with are the ones the victims will file for negligence, against the school and against him.
