Adam Jones gets biggest Bengals-Steelers fine, apologizes to Brown

The NFL announced six players or coaches were fined from the ugly Cincinnati Bengals-Pittsburgh Steelers game. The biggest fine went to Bengals cornerback Adam Jones, who also apologized to Steelers receiver Antonio Brown for saying Brown was faking a concussion.

Jones was fined $28,940 for making contact with an official while arguing with Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter. Jones was penalized, setting up a short Steelers field goal to win their wild-card game. Porter didn't get off the hook for being on the field and agitating the situation, as he was fined $10,000. All the fines were reported by NFL.com.

Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak was fined $10,000 for grabbing Reggie Nelson's hair on the sideline early in the game. He was penalized on that play, as well.

Bengals defensive linemen Domata Peko and Wallace Gilberry were each fined $8,681, Peko for unnecessary roughness and Gilberry for unsportsmanlike conduct. Steelers offensive lineman Ramon Foster was fined $17,363 for a leg whip.

And, of course, earlier this week Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was suspended three games for an illegal hit on Brown.

After the game, Jones said he thought Brown was faking the injury, but would apologize if Brown didn't play in the Steelers' next playoff game. On Friday, Brown was ruled out of Sunday's divisional round playoff game against the Denver Broncos. Jones followed through on his promise with an Instagram video on Friday afternoon.

Perhaps now we can close the book on the Bengals-Steelers game, at least until Burfict starts serving his three-game suspension.
