EJ Manuel suffers scary-looking right leg injury, replaced by fellow rookie Jeff Tuel

Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel couldn't get out of bounds on a scramble before Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson hit Manuel on the right knee, a scary-looking injury that sent Manuel out of the game.

Although Manuel's return was announced as doubtful, his cleats were off by the end of the third quarter.

Manuel was replaced by fellow rookie, backup Jeff Tuel. A few plays after entering the game, Tuel helped lead the Bills into the end zone and give the Bills a 23-17 lead.

Manuel was seen walking around on the sideline after the injury and riding a bike to get loose, but Tuel came out for another series after the Browns tied it at 24-all and remained in the game.

Earlier in the game, Browns starter Brian Hoyer was knocked out of the game with what could be a torn ACL. Brandon Weeden replaced Hoyer.

Strange that one of the best Thursday night games in recent memory featured Weeden and Tuel in prominent roles.
