Report: Aaron Hernandez allegedly writes fan from jail, declares himself ‘NOT GUILTY’

Aaron Hernandez has not spoken publicly since being associated with the death of Odin Lloyd in June. He's being held in prison without bail while several Massachusetts jurisdictions sort out which, if any, charges to bring against him. However, he may still be connecting with fans, at least those who take the time to write him.

According to TMZ, a fan who had served time in the same jail where Hernandez is currently being held, the Bristol County House of Correction, wrote to Hernandez to give him a sense of what life is like behind the walls. And Hernandez apparently wrote him back. (TMZ stated it verified the letter's authenticity with law enforcement. Yahoo! Sports contacted the Bristol County Sheriff's Office and was able to confirm the inmate ID number and Unit number on the envelope which contained the letter are correct. However, an official could not confirm the letter's authenticity, stating that letters are sealed by inmates and are not checked prior to them being mailed.)

Here's a transcript of the letter, all grammatical errors [sic]'d. Decide for yourself whether it sounds legit:

[Name redacted],

Your letter meant alot and was very true! I know everything happens for a reason and I know "GOD" has a plan for me and something good will come out of this. The world just makes things out of false accusations and it will all die down especially when they say NOT GUILTY and all the people who turned on me will feel like crap. Ive always been a great person an known for having an amazing heart! I am a strong person and nothing will break me! A C.O. [Corrections Officer] will never nor can they say now for one day have I been down or not with a smile on my face. I know there is a reason Im going thru this and I will figure it out through my relationship with the Lord. I fell off especially after making all that money but when it's all said and done "GOD" put me in the situation for a reason! I'm humbled by this ALREADY and this will change me forever. At least I'll know my true supporters. Thanks for being one of them!

Thanks,

Aaron Hernandez 81
