Jersey Fouls of the Week: Toronto Maple Leafs rags
For a few years the Toronto Maple Leafs acquired players they thought would be key members of their core. But in the past year, it became Maple Leafs needed to rebuild their roster.
Last summer they traded Phil Kessel to the Pittsburgh Penguins. This past week, captain Dion Phaneuf was dealt to the Ottawa Senators. Fans have decided to take their Kessel and Phaneuf jerseys and foul them to adjust to these changes.
This week, we’ve seen a whole bunch of Maple Leafs fouls. Check out the above – which is an homage to coach Mike Babcock’s $50 million contract. Thanks to Jonathan for the above foul.

5. Lebowski/Ovechkin foul
This could be some sort of Alex Ovechkin joke. Or it could be a play on a quote by Walter Sobchak from The Big Lebowski. (Walter Ludwig)
4. Angry Kings fan
This person has a lot of hatred. (Nick Wellin)
3. The greatest day in New York Rangers history
No more curses – even though the team hasn’t won a Cup since June 14, 1994. (Hugh Kellenberger)
2. Dion gone
This was taken at the Calgary Flames/Toronto Maple Leafs game at Scotiabank Saddledome. The day Phaneuf was traded. The context makes the foul in this case. (Brad)
1. Kessel to Stamkos
Nice way to change a Kessel ‘81’ Toronto jersey. (Dallas King)
