We admit it's more sweet than odd.
A centenarian got to spend a big milestone on the baseball field in a special way. Agnes McKee, who uses a walker, celebrated her 105th birthday by throwing the first pitch for the San Diego Padres.
"I'm glad it's over — now I can relax," she said after her pitch.
McKee says her secret to longevity is perseverance, and she's proud of her age.
Her major-league baseball debut at Petco Park was pretty pitch-perfect.

If you have a big moving job, you can join mechanical forces to get the work done.
In this video, one forklift lifts another to help push a giant box into a trailer. The second machine is eased smoothly and slowlyback to the ground.
People on Reddit can't decide if this maneuver is safe or innovative.

Skydiving is heart-stopping, but there's a way to make it even more thrilling. Strap on a GoPro camera along with your parachute, and really look forward to the last few seconds.
Niklas Daniel and Brianne Thompson, two thrill-seekers, decided to skydive from 5,000 feet above ground, which according to the video is less than half the normal height.
The two wanted to end the fast flight in a cool way with a Slip 'N Slide on a hot summer day in Arizona. Niklas went first, and you can see how excited he is when he smoothly lands somehow on the wet plastic!
Not even a minute later, Brianne follows and comes off the slide with a smile, too.

You know how kids stick everything in their noses?
One man with a beard sticks Slinky toys and straws in his full-grown facial hair.
Turns out he's kind of a flower beard trendsetter. Others have put in daises and colorful decorations and then uploaded the finished pieces. While we don't recommend replicating the fireworks near your face, we admire the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine, reminiscent of hippier times.

What’s in the bag? Personality .
London-based dating service Loveflutter recently put a twist on a speed-dating event where 30 men and 30 women "met" face to face. The singles put on personalized paper bags before they sat down to get to know each other. Loveflutter's app won’t let you see profile pics until a nonvisual match is made.
Loveflutter, dubbed "Tinder for the thoughtful," wants singles to #SayNotoShallow. The stunt will be replicated in New York on Oct. 8. Think of it as masquerade that gets to the heart of the matter.

We sat down with the world's fastest talking female. Fran Capo holds a world record for her gift of gab at 603 words per minute — or 11 words per second (no big deal).
A YouTube video that's gone viral this week showcases Fran reciting "The Three Little Pigs" really, really, really fast.
Fran says the video was shot a few years ago, and she's overwhelmed by the renewed attention. The former broadcaster and current comedienne went on "Larry King Live" back in 1986.
We put the native New Yorker on the spot to read us the story once again. The fast talker extraordinaire did it in 15.78 seconds or so!
Fran's always up for a challenge and is always on the move. She hopes others learn to live in the moment, too.

What's better than a full-body mud mask on a hot summer day?
During Mud Day in Wayne County, Michigan, children play in and race through a giant mud pit that is 70 x 150 feet and 1.5 feet deep. The winners are crowned Mud King and Mud Queen.
The early July tradition, which was brainstormed by the parks department, started 26 years ago outside Detroit.
Playing around in the dirt is gaining traction elsewhere. Two mud boggers in Kansas decided to tie the knot in the mud during the Toronto Days Mud Run. Jared Baylor drove through the mud in a truck to his bride Taylor Ratcliff. That's what you call through thick and thin. Just don't plan on keeping your wedding dress white!

One man's pile of trash is an artist's amazing work.
If you look through a viewfinder at this assembly of a sofa, guitar, and lamp, a soldier's portrait appears.
He's a specialist in junk collages. He's done portraits of Jack Nicholson from "The Shining" and turned the iconic Uncle Sam poster into a 3D piece.
Pras shows us some things are not as they seem. Picture art imitating art through another angle. Creativity lies in the eye of the toilet paper holder.
