A family of 4 lives in this tiny, 260-square-foot home

Scott and Carrie Sprague, along with their children Ty and Caden, are a happy family living in Austin, Texas. Inside their home, you’ll find they have a room for the kids, a bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom. So what’s unusual about this? As KVUE News reports, the home is only 260 square feet and they’ve lived in it for 6 years.

As you can see in the video above, the Spragues are able to have a living room, kitchen, dining area, and master bedroom in such confined quarters because they’re all in one room. The bed that’s used when the quarters are a master bedroom becomes a couch when the room around is used as a living room. The kids’ bedroom has bunk beds, and the closet space in there contains everyone’s clothing; men on the left, women on the right.

Scott Sprague told KVUE, “We literally use every inch of storage in here.” He does admit, however, that it’s not always easy being right on top of each other, telling the station, “There are some days, you know, our oldest will tell us, ‘I’m ready, I’m ready to move.’” That being said, Mr. Sprague says that because there’s no space to withdraw to, they resolve conflicts right away instead of letting them linger. It seems it’s worth it for the family that wants to stay in Austin, but is wary of the rising costs of living in the city.
