Police car gets stuck on top of a boulder at a Taco Bell

When driving a car, it’s important to make sure you don’t turn the wheel too quickly. You might wind up hitting the curb, or, I don’t know, let’s say you might wind up perching your car on top of a small boulder. As The Naperville Sun reports, that’s exactly what happened to one Illinois police officer who was turning into a Taco Bell parking lot. Taco ‘bout something that would make you say Cha-whoops-a, eh?

The Sun spoke with Sergeant Bill Davis, Naperville Police Department’s public information officer. Sgt. Davis told the paper that the officer was “attempting to turn around in the lot to check on a vehicle when he oversteered, and drove over the curb and the rock.” The car wound up coming to rest, “almost precisely atop the boulder’s peak.” Naperville Police are in the process of getting an estimate for repairs, and say the incident has been forwarded to their Internal Affairs Unit for further investigation. There were no injuries.
