Dolly Parton on Dream Biopic Casting: I Want Scarlett Johansson to Play Me!

Dolly Parton has a new interview in the U.K.'s Guardian where she reveals that not only has she been busy at work on a movie about her life, she's already got her sights set on a specific actress: Scarlett Johansson!

The country superstar says that she began considering Johansson for the part a few years ago, when the project was first conceived, noting the curvacious actress has the right attitude and physique.

See, there's one very specific need for the lead: "I think they would have to have some big boobs," says the ever-candid Parton.

Johansson, of course, has more than curve appeal going for her. She actually has legitimate musical talent, having proven her vocal prowess on two studio albums.

As far as we know, however, there is no offer on the table for ScarJo to play Parton. But if the deal went down, Johansson would be the latest A-lister to play a country star on screen or stage.

Producers recently announced that Tom Hiddleston (Thor, The Avengers) would star as Hank Williams Sr. in the upcoming biopic I Saw the Light. (For the record, Williams's grandson, punk musician Hank Williams III, is upset with the choice of the English actor for the role; having said he would prefer Texas-bred Matthew McConaughey to play the legendary musician.)

At a 2012 Grand Ole Opry show, Loretta Lynn announced that New Girl star Zooey Deschanel would be portraying Lynn in the Broadway version of Coal Miner’s Daughter.

And of course, you can’t forget the role that earned Reese Witherspoon her first Oscar: Playing June Carter Cash in 2005's Walk The Line.
