What You Need to Know About Kacey Musgraves's "Lucky Charm" Boyfriend

Country rebel Kacey Musgraves nabbed two Grammys on Sunday, and promptly followed that up with an incredible five Academy of Country Music Awards nominations. Sure, she's the It Girl of the moment in Nashville, but one has to wonder — does she happen to have something that's upping her luck lately?

She certainly does. Musgraves calls her boyfriend, musician Misa Arriaga, just that: "My lucky charm." And, "lucky" for both of them, they actually get to work together.

Arriaga played guitar and also sang backup on Musgraves’ breakthrough album, "Same Trailer, Different Park", and is part of her backing band. In fact, you probably saw him on stage with her during the Grammys telecast.

They've never publicly referred to their relationship, but have made several high-profile appearances together, including the Grammys red carpet and afterparties.

Also, their social media feeds are filled with sweet shout-outs and moments like this one that Arriaga posted, showing off a special birthday gift from his girl: a portrait of Willie Nelson painted by her mother.

Musgraves even tweeted a YouTube performance of her and her love performing the classic "Are You Lonesome Tonight" at the Grand Ole Opry.

There are plenty of other country couples who have made music together on and off-stage. Hillary Scott’s been married to Lady Antebellum’s drummer, Chris Tyrell, for over two years now. Kellie Pickler’s husband, songwriter Kyle Jacobs, has not only penned songs for his wife, but frequently accompanies her on guitar. And then there's Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, and Rosanne Cash who all found love with the guys behind the audio panel: Their producers.

And, it may be fictional, but who can forget one of country’s favorite current romances: The saga of singer Rayna James and her guitarist Deacon Claybourne on ABC's "Nashville."
