Favre to Philly? Eskin: ‘It’s Possible’

CBS staff and wire reports

Brett Favre to backup Michael Vick?

According to the official Twitter page of Sportsradio 610 WIP's Howard Eskin, sources told him that the Philadelphia Eagles are apparently interested in bringing Favre to the City of Brotherly Love.

On his Twitter page, Eskin wrote that it was "possible" that the Birds would have interest in bringing Favre aboard once they trade Kevin Kolb.

Eskin tweeted: "Just reported on TV Eagles have some interest in b farve once they trade kolb. Sources told me its possible. Not sure what farve thinks"

It is widely expected that Kolb will be traded once the NFL lockout ends.

Team officials are not talking about the Favre to Philly rumors.

However, current Eagles starting quarterback Michael Vick also took to his Twitter page and said he "would be honored" to have Favre as his backup in Philly. The tweet was later deleted from Vick's Twitter page.

Favre finished last season with the Minnesota Vikings and said after the season that he was done playing. Haven't we heard that before?
