Pop sensation Lady Gaga played to a sold out show at Oakland Arena on March 22 -- and many fans, a.k.a. "monsters" came dressed to impress.

Attendees paid homage to their idol by going all out in Gaga garb. All around the arena, you could see splashes of outfits from various Lady Gaga incarnations. The concert felt like Halloween, Carnival, or both.

For example, Victor sports the dark eye make up that is so recognizably Lady Gaga.

Adam was by far the greatest attention-grabber in his full red drape, from crown to toe. He didn't talk much. He didn't need to. A crowd surrounded him snapping photos furiously.

Joel and Katie had more of a hybrid costume. Joel's hat looks like it could have come from Lady Gaga's closet, but Katie's hat does not. But it works.

Kate from Sacramento was able to attach a unicorn horn to the top of her head. It was a reference to the singer's controversial unicorn tattoo. If you look closely you also will see the singer's signature eye makeup.

The extra effort did not go unnoticed. Lady Gaga sang praises of the costumes on stage, and says they energize her. She thanked all her "monsters."

"There was a time only 50 of you showed up for my concert," she says.

Her concert was a wild ride, and she did not disappoint -- showing why her fans are so devoted to her.
