New billboard depicts Virgin Mary holding a pregnancy test

if the church is now going this far ... what is left in the world? have we seriously failed God to this extent? loosing respect?i can only wonder

i;m just wondering why did the Church (which church?) used Mary as the model of this pregnancy test? seeing this,,,, so sad... Disrespectful to Mother Mary.. as we all know,, An angel declared to Mary that she'll conceive by the power of the Holy Spirit, so therefore Mother Mary knew she'll conceive.. so why the church used Mary as the model of this pregnancy test, any connection? The church can use other model, why Mother Mary?

Did anyone posting even read the story here. This billboard wasn't put up by Atheists, it was a church trying to stir up a little controversy. And I guess it worked, too bad people have such a short attention span these days they don't even read the supporting text.

The Holy Quran talks about this precious lady Allah Says in Glorious Quran And when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary), surely Allah has chosen you and has blessed you with purity and has exalted you today over all the women of the world.
"O Maryam (Mary)! Obey your Lord consistently with utmost humbleness, prostrate yourself and bow down in worship along with those who bow down."
Mary (peace be upon her) wasn't married and she gave birth to prophet Jesus Peace be upon him without any male intervention this was one of signs of Almighty Allah for the disbelievers. she was a PIOUS AND A PURE WOMAN that's why Almighty Allah chose her as the mother as mighty Messenger of Him Allah says in glorious Quran

When the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary), surely, Allah gives you glad tidings of a (particular) Word from Him named the Messiah, ‘Isa son of Maryam (Jesus son of Mary), who would be eminent and exalted (both) in this world and in the Hereafter and would be of those who are exceptionally intimate servants of Allah blessed with His nearness.
And he will talk to the people (alike) both in the cradle and in ripe years, and he will be one of the pious servants (of Allah).’
. Maryam (Mary) submitted: ‘O my Lord, how shall I have a son when no man has ever touched me?’ He said: ‘Just as Allah creates what He pleases.’ When He decides (to do) some work, He just gives it the Command ‘Be,’ and it becomes.
And Allah will teach him the Book and the Wisdom, the Torah and the Injil ([the Gospel] everything).

Neither Jesus Peace be Upon him nor his mother claimed divinity they were one of the beloved Servants of Almighty Allah..

very disappointing to see that one of the pious and beloved servant of Almighty Allah is being insulted like this in the form of nasty advertisements is this how Christians respect them and Jesus Peace be Upon Him

One thing i have noticed in most of the comments is those that are complaining havent paid attention to the fact that it was a church that put up the billboard.

to everyone, This pic brings much meaning to what Mary was facing. And it bring the point that I church was trying to bring forth. That is Mary lived in this time what she would be facing. Being a young women and pregnant. Although in her time things where MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. I see what the church is trying to do and if I was a young girl or single women looking at this, It would make me second guess having sexual relations out of wedlock and what I would face if I would get pregnant.

Even mothers who plan for their babies have that indescribable shock to the system when they get that first -positive- test result. I don't know one mother; single, married, planned, or unplanned, that didn't look at that test result with a mixture of shock and awe. It is the first indication that your life is no longer yours alone.

So all else aside, I can respect the idea of this billboard without reservation.
