Crushing it: Arnold Schwarzenegger (and a tank) vs. everything

)

Arnold Schwarzenegger is carving out a new niche for himself as a viral video sensation. On Wednesday, the action star and ex-governor released his fourth online video in just two months.

Schwarzenegger’s latest: crushing things in a tank for charity.

In “Will It Crush?” featuring a soundtrack of the Eurythmics' “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” Schwarzenegger crushes a taxicab, a piano, a weight-lifting bench, a giant Easter egg, rolls of bubble wrap and even a miniature tank.

“I’m 66 years old and I saved every one of my birthday cakes,” Schwarzenegger says. “Why? Because I wanted to crush them.”

The video was made for Schwarzenegger's charity that raises funds for after-school programs for kids, a cause he championed in his first run for governor of California.

The “Terminator” star is actually a veteran of the Austrian army, and a few years ago he purchased the same tank he used to train in nearly 50 years earlier. Schwarzenegger has fond memories of his early military days, writing in his autobiograph, “Total Recall,” that after a childhood of poverty, military dining was luxurious by comparison, allowing him to build the physique that led to international fame and fortune.

As part of a contest for the charity, Schwarzenegger is going to play host to a randomly selected winner who will get to drive around in his tank and, well, crush things. As a bonus for the real movie geeks out there, blogger Devin Faraci points out that Schwarzenegger keeps his tank on the same ranch where parts of Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” and other famous Westerns were filmed.
