Death Valley Dreamlapse 2 will knock your socks off

A new time-lapse video, Death Valley Dreamlapse 2 from Sunchaser Pictures, takes viewers on another virtual trip to beautiful and mysterious Death Valley.

The footage, shot and edited by Gavin Heffernan, is sure to leave viewers spellbound. It includes sensational star trails, astonishing landscapes and wild photographic techniques like "moonpainting." Plus, you'll see the sliding stones of Racetrack Playa, which appear to move across the desert.

Perhaps most amazing is the pink aurora. According to the clip's description on Vimeo, the creators didn't even know that auroras existed so far south, but think it most likely was triggered by a coronal mass ejection (CME) solar event that occurred during filming.
