By Jennifer Burgess couldn't get away clean with this one.
The 24-year-old homeless woman allegedly broke into a Sacramento, Calif., home and took a shower before she was caught by the homeowner.
Randy Kizer says a stranger answered the door at his house when he came home after running morning errands, CBS Sacramento reports.
"She had my son's robe on and I assume nothing else, but I didn't check to see," Kizer said. "It was like I was intruding into her home—not the other way around."
Kizer told the TV station that he allowed the stranger to change and then confronted her. Burgess said she was homeless and this was the first time she had entered his house, according to Kizer. She told him she thought the house was abandoned.
When deputies arrived, they found about $46 in change and spare home keys in her pockets.
Kizer said the cash was mostly his children's allowance and change they had put aside for church.
And there's one more thing. The New York Daily News reports Kizer's daughter remarked of Burgess: "She ate the last Pop-Tart!"
Kizer doesn't believe Burgess' claims that this is her first time in the house. He told CBS Sacramento that the family dogs usually bark at strangers and they were oddly quiet around the modern-day Goldilocks.
Burgess was booked on suspicion of burglary and is being held in a Sacramento jail on $50,000 bond.
Kizer is installing a surveillance system in his home.
