Fight breaks out on Greek morning TV show (VIDEO)
And you thought American cable news talk shows were crazy.
A fight broke out on a morning talk show in Greece on Thursday, when the spokesman of the extreme-right party threw water at a woman from the left-wing party, then smacked another woman three times across the face.
A warrant was issued for the spokesman, Ilias Kasidiaris, according to the Associated Press. Tempers flared when Rena Dourou, a member of the leftist Syriza party, inferred that Kasidiaris' Golden Dawn party—which won 21 of the Greek parliament's 300 seats in a May 6 vote—"will take the country back 500 years." Kasidiaris got out of his chair and threw a glass of water at Dourou.
The 31-year-old Kasidiaris then called 58-year-old Communist Party member Liana Kanelli an "old Commie." The show's host tried to intervene, but not before Kasidiaris slapped Kanelli.
According to the AP, Kasidiaris was locked in a room backstage and police were called, but he broke through the door and left the studio.
