Stuck in Ikea

The Sideshow

If you've ever been to Ikea, then this "horror film" needs no introduction.

For those who haven't, Ikea, an international home furnishings store, is set up like a big labyrinth — a really, really, really big labyrinth. You're corralled right from the start, forced to walk through the entire store — passing kitchenware and bed frames and couches and weird chairs and bad art work and shag carpets, all with names like Ekby Viktor and Förhöja and Vardö.

Even if you are there just to pick up a new nightstand, you'll end up with a hundred-pack of votive candles, four throw pillows and a bookshelf named after someone called Billy. Which is kind of the point of the layout.

It's horrifying and brilliant, as is this parody.
