Surfing the streets of NYC (VIDEO)

Surfing the streets of New York City (Thinkmodo)Most people wouldn't blink at the sight of skateboarders passing by on the street. But a pair of guys in wetsuits riding motorized surfboards down the streets of New York City was a sight to behold, even for the hard-to-impress residents of the Big Apple.

Technically, these guys aren't surfing. After all, there are no waves to catch, and their surfboards are equipped with retractable wheels and a remote control-operated motor.

Still, to the untrained eye, it does almost look as if the pair are gliding atop invisible waves as they maneuver around the pedestrians, including a quick-thinking hot dog vendor who reaches out to high-five one of the surfers.
