Twitter wars: Palin vs. Piers

"Twitter Wars" it should be a show. Really! Where grown men and women go at it. It would be a variation of MTV's "Celebrity Deathmatch," but instead of Claymation, contestants would use their iPhone, the Twitter app and 140 characters.

This week's headliners: Sarah Palin, 49, vs. Piers Morgan, 48.

Apparently Piers, the host of CNN's "Piers Morgan Live" catchy title has invited Palin, the former Alaskan governor and Vice Presidential candidate, to his show multiple times. While it would make for great TV, given their general agreement on just about nothing, Palin isn't taking the bait not after Piers tweeted out a story Thursday detailing her "claim" that Christ celebrated Easter before he died.

This goes with the liberal narrative that she's stupid and all. There's only one problem: The story isn't true. It ran in The Daily Currant, a fake newspaper and competitor of The Onion.

These two love bugs can take it from here. Let's begin with Morgan's tweet on The Daily Currant article:

Palin responded with this post on Facebook, accompanied by a photo:

Oh dear Piers, thank you so much for all your invitations to appear on your shambolic show, including the adoring message you sent. But is it still any wonder why I've politely responded that I'm too busy doing, um, er... pretty much anything to accept the invite? (At least I didn't tell you to "get stuffed".) And to all our British friends: we ask, what did your friends across the pond ever do to you to deserve your Piers? :)

That set off Piers:

And finally…

Can't say Piers isn't clever. Can't really say he's too mature, either.

So with that, it's on: Palin vs. Piers who you got?
