App cleans up your photos by erasing random people

Sometimes, there's nothing more annoying than that random passerby in your photo when all you wanted to take a picture of was you and the scenery. In the future, getting rid of these human interlopers may be as easy tapping on them on a smartphone screen using an app called Scalado Remove.

What the app does is take several snapshots in rapid succession and compare them against each other to determine moving elements in the background like walking people. You can see these elements highlighted in the app afterward, and all you need to do to magically make them disappear is tap on their figures. The end result is several snapshots combined, with much, much less distraction.

While we'd all love to be able to tap away photobombers and unwanted elements in our photos right now, the Scalado Remove app isn't yet available to the public. It's currently just a prototype that will be presented at Mobile World Congress in Spain by the end of February.
