This new Spotify playlist will Barack You Like a Hurricane
Need a hot new mix of music for when you drive off to your next political rally, or maybe for your next long trip to Newt Gingrich's moon colony? Relax — DJ Barack Obama has you covered with his official Spotify campaign playlist, which he introduced today via Twitter.
From sharing photos via Instagram to holding chats Google+, President Obama has been ahead of the curve when it comes to embracing social networking. His foray into Spotify, the (relatively) new social music player, is a logical next step.
So, what's on the Commander in Chief's playlist? It's a pretty diverse mix that includes Motown staple Aretha Franklin, Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen, along with some more modern choices such as Arcade Fire and Wilco. It's almost as if the playlist was chosen by focus group. (Considering the state of politics today, that wouldn't surprise us at all.)
