    Don’t Miss Video of the Day: Champion Muay Thai kickboxer smacks down offensive banana tree

    We don't know what this banana tree could have said to Buakaw Por. Pramuk to deserve such a savage beating, but we're fairly sure the tree learned its lesson.

    In this mind-blowing display of tool-less lumberjacking, the Muay Thai kickboxing champion used nothing but astounding kicks and a couple of jabs to cleave the tree down to size. If you're not familiar with Buakaw, he's been winning fighting championships since 2001, including scoring the Thai Fight Tournament championship in 2011. This just goes to show how powerful a trained kickboxer can really be.

      Ooooh, he killed a giant stalk of celery! Bananas are herbaceous and do not have a woody stem. To call a banana plant a tree is disingenuous. The dude looks pretty tough, though. Maybe he can take on... a stalk of bamboo!

        different sport, just like any standup discipline must be modified to take into account takedowns and grappling. while it translates well for more aggressive styles of MMA, this sport generally consists out of two guys standing in front of each other and punching and kicking the #$%$ out of each other. Without cross-training, they would be picked apart.
