Don’t Miss Video of the Day: Watch this amazing dog jump rope double dutch

We'll be honest: We haven't jumped rope for a really long time. And even when we did, those of us here at Tecca weren't very good at it. That's why we're both amazed and — to be honest — put to shame by this video of an incredibly skilled dog named Geronimo.

Geronimo is, according to her owner Samantha Valle, a 2-year-old cattle dog mix that was rescued from the pound at 3 months. Valle, a professional dog trainer, taught Geronimo the trick over the course of five weeks. According to Valle, "There were no specific steps I really took that made a huge difference. All I can really remember doing is trying a bunch of different things, rewarding her small successes until the trick was complete."

We're impressed — some dogs can't even climb up stairs without aid of a $8,000 dog lift, but this smart canine is more athletic than we are. Even more impressive, Geronimo can perform a number of other tricks you can also see in the video. If you want to see Geronimo in person, you can: She'll be appearing as part of The Stunt Dog Experience, a show at the Dollywood amusement park in Tennessee. And of course, like an increasing number of pets, Geronimo has a page you can visit on Facebook.
