Don’t go in the Water: Jaws coming to Blu-ray August 14

Jaws may be 37-years-old, but the movie still gives us chills the moment we set foot in the water. Now, thanks to Universal, we can relive the terror: The movie is finally coming out on Blu-ray August 14.

According to Universal, the re-release will include an upmixed 7.1 DTS-HD soundtrack. The picture, meanwhile, will be "digitally remastered and fully restored" via a process where director Steven Spielberg and Amblin Entertainment reviewed the original 35mm film frame-by-frame, making fixes where necessary.

That's not all you get for your money. Also included in the Blu-ray are four hours of bonus features, including The Shark is Still Working: The Impact & Legacy of Jaws, an all new documentary; Jaws: The Restoration, a look at the restoration process that made the Blu-ray possible; The Making of Jaws; production photos; storyboards; deleted scenes and outtakes; and more. You also get a digital copy of the movie with your purchase.
