Got somewhere to go? Rent a Virgin America plane for $60,000

Air travel can be a hassle these days, between inevitable delays, crowded flights, and the trial of getting through airport security. Virgin America is offering one solution: for a mere $60,000, you can rent one of their planes — presumably with a pilot and crew included — to fly anywhere the airline flies (except Mexico) with up to 145 of your friends. That works out to about $410 per person.

The flight would take you on a full-size Airbus A320, complete with in-flight wifi, seatback entertainment systems, and in-flight meals and drinks. You'd have to travel before May 28, 2013, but other than that, the sky's literally the limit.

And your cash won't just get you a ride from point A to point B and back again — you also get to name the plane you fly on. Virgin America is no stranger to oddly-named planes, either. They recently announced the first hashtagged plane: #nerdbird.
