Intense daytime fireworks explode with brilliant color

Getting good photos or video of fireworks usually requires special techniques because motion blur and lighting conditions fight against camera sensors. So, why not circumvent that issue entirely by using some daytime fireworks? Admittedly, that's probably not what Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang had in mind when he put on his explosion event at the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, Qatar but the results are mighty impressive nonetheless.

You've never seen fireworks like this before

Cai Guo-Qiang created this display by using microchip-controlled explosives, all calculated to create different patterns, colored smoke, and sounds on both the ground and sky. The display was so huge that just the launching mortars for the ceremony took up a 400-meter footprint. According to the artist, the presentation is meant to "confront matters of life and death, spiritual homecomings, potential transformations of symbols and the relationship between different cultures." Whether you think the display was successful or not, it's still one heck of a video to watch.

Hey how about Greenpeace leaving the energy sector alone for a while and nip this kind of thing in the ass before it becomes a pollution problem! I mean really...colored smoke? Sounds like a great thing to start doing! After all, removing oil from the tar sands is evil, but putting colorful plumes of smoke into the air...that's art!

I buy almost everything except food and clothing from online auctions.
Most people aren't aware of the almost unbelievable deals that they can get from online auction sites.
The site that has the best deals is bestweneed cöm
and I checked with the Better Business Bureau and was told that it is all legit.
How they can sell gift cards, laptops, cameras, and all kinds of goodies that we all want for 50-90% off, I don't know. I do know that I bought my son an iPad there for less than $100 and my husband a $250 Loews gift cards for $48.
Why would I even think about shopping anyplace else?

It looks spectacular, but after all that time, effort, and expense, I would think they could have arranged some professional filming. This looks like a hand held amateurish effort complete with jiggly motions and lack of depth. Too bad. I hope there is a pro version somewhere.
