Lego steps up the charity giving with free Star Wars e-cards and Toys for Tots

Legos aren't just awesome, they're awesome and socially conscious. This holiday season, Lego and Star Wars have teamed up with Toys for Tots for a great holiday charity campaign. It's incredibly simple to donate, and won't even cost you anything.

Just go to the LegoSantaYoda website and send a free holiday e-greeting to the Star Wars Lego fan of your choice. There are three options to choose from, each featuring a short video starring the Star Wars Lego crew (we're particularly fond of "Not So Silent Night" featuring Lego Darth Vader and his vain attempts to watch some TV). Just pick a card, fill in the required info, and send it.

For every e-card sent during the holidays, Lego will donate one toy to Toys for Tots. As of today, 352,832 toys have already been donated to that worthy charity. So send some holiday cheer to someone you love, and give a gift to someone in need. Everyone wins!
