Little Printer turns your social feeds into pint-sized printouts

Berg's new Little Printer is something of a small wonder. Coming soon from the UK-based design firm, the device prints out receipt-sized hard copies of RSS news feeds, important tweets, Foursquare check-ins, news, to-dos, and even daily puzzles for you to solve, using an ink-free thermal technology.

It uses a receipt-sized roll of paper that you can tear off after it prints the adorable smiley-face you can see through its charming front panel. The content you want can be chosen using a web-based interface or your smartphone, to be printed at specified times each day, and the device itself talks to a small Berg Cloud box that connects directly to your broadband router.

Google, Foursquare, Nike, Arup, and the Guardian are already on-board for the Little Printer's launch, which is scheduled for sometime in 2012. Those interested in hearing when pre-orders open can sign up for Berg's newsletter on its site, where the company is also asking additional developers to get on the Little Printer bandwagon. Who could say no to that face?
