No use for your old CDs? Amazon will take them off your hands

In a world populated with more music streaming options than you can shake an LP at, you may have little use for that stack of CDs you've long since converted over to iTunes files. You don't want to throw them away, of course — I mean they must be worth something, right? But who will pay for your old discs? Amazon, that's who.

The web's largest mega-retailer has just launched a new music trade-in program similar to the one it launched several months ago for video games. Using the company's all-new music trading portal you can check the value of your unwanted CDs, with different amounts offered depending on the condition of the disc, case, and included artwork. You can then choose to trade them in for Amazon store credit which can be spent on, well, pretty much anything.

As you may have guessed, music CDs aren't worth quite what they used to be, and most will fetch just a few dollars. Still, if you have no use for your now-retro compact discs, why not send them Amazon's way and score some tasty store credit in the process?
