Watch the movie trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Director Tim Burton's latest movie won't be in theaters until June 22, but the trailer for it is already making waves all across the internet. And for good reason: The not-quite-historically-accurate movie, titled Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, casts our beloved sixteenth president as a slayer of the undead.

Yes, seriously. This is a real, actual movie that is being made.

The movie is based on the book of the same name, written by Seth Grahame-Smith, author of the best selling Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. In it, President Lincoln's mother is slain by a vampire — just like in real life — which drives the Great Emancipator to kick vampire butt with such fervor that he has no time available with which to take names.

The 3D movie chronicles President Lincoln's life and rise through politics, from the famed Lincoln-Douglas debate to the elaborately choreographed ax battles that the president engaged in with stunning regularity. Actor Benjamin Walker stars as Lincoln.
