Novak Djokovic had a quick day of work at Wimbledon, advancing in straight sets over Bernard Tomic, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. He joins No. 3 Stan Wawrinka in the fourth round, who advanced with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 win over Fernando Verdasco.

Djokovic and Wawrinka looked dominant in their respective wins. Djokovic recorded 15 aces and won 18 points on 23 approaches at the net. Wawrinka served 14 aces and won an impressive 87 percent of first serve points.

Young Australian Nick Kyrgios continued his streak of knocking out top seeds at Wimbledon. Last year he stunned Rafael Nadal in the fourth round. This year he sent home No. 7 Milos Raonic in the third round, pulling off the 5-7, 7-5, 7-6, 6-3 upset.

Kyrgios served 34 aces and won 84 percent of his first serve points. "I knew my game plan had to be solid on serve," Kyrgios said after the match. "I thought I was doing really, really well today. …I created a lot of chances."

"I don't fear anyone," he said. "I definitely feel I'm playing better tennis than last year."

His lack of fear extends to his wardrobe choice for the day, as noted by the New York Times' Ben Rothenberg:

He'll face Richard Gasquet in the fourth round. Gasquet defeated No. 11 Grigor Dimitrov, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.

In women's action, CoCo Vandeweghe moved on to the fourth round of a Grand Slam event for the first time in her young career. The 23-year-old American defeated Australian veteran Sam Stosur 6-2, 6-0.

Fellow Americans Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Sloane Stephens saw their tournaments end in the third round. Stephens fell to No. 6 Lucie Safarova in three sets. Safarova will face Vandeweghe next.

Mattek-Sands looked like she was on track to advance to the second week in London for the first time since 2008, building a 5-1 lead in the first set. But Swiss teen Belinda Bencic came storming back to take the set, 7-5. Bencic took the second set with the same score for the 7-5, 7-5 victory. Bencic will play Victoria Azarenka next. No. 23 Azarenka advanced with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Kristina Mladenovic.

No. Maria Sharapova moved on to the fourth round with a routine 6-4, 6-3 win over Irina-Camelia Begu.
