Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney plan a Scouse date

Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney are the kind of celebs you'd expect spend their time sipping champagne and eating posh canapes.

So showbiz BFFs Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney made us grin today when they planned a date today that was far less glamourous than we'd ever expect.

Over hot pot.

Yes Girls Aloud star Cheryl and Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen got all excited about Scouse - that famous (and hardly glamourous at all) meat stew from Liverpool.

Cheryl, who was making a fleeting visit to the Northern city today, asked fellow World Cup WAG Coleen where she could find the famous dish.

She tweeted: "Where can I get a decent bowl of Scouse?!"

Coleen replied inviting her around to her mum's house: "my mum does a nice bowl of scouse!!!! R u in Liverpool?? Xx"

But much to Cheryl Cole's dismay she posted back: "gutted, I've missed it we just left!! Tell your mam I'll call in for some next time I'm in Liverpool :D"

We love the idea of uber glam Cheryl Cole and Coleen Rooney tucking into a beef stew over a glass of cheep rose while in their PJs.

Can we come?!

Cheryl also hit close by Manchester this morning to make an appearance on radio station Key 103.

Despite the rain (we're getting sick of typing that) Chez looked glam (as per) in a pair of pale jeans, a grey top and grey blazer.
