Lady Gaga is heading for the Hollywood Bowl next month for "A Decade of Difference" concert benefiting the charitable work of former President Bill Clinton, and is sure to wear something dramatic. But on Saturday, she toned it down and wore a conservative little black dress. Days later, movie star Anna Faris donned the same dress (one of the few times Lady Gaga has worn something identical to anyone else). While Lady Gaga looked like she had more fun adding the Old Hollywood twist, Faris made the most of the elegant cocktail gown and won approval for her "chic and gamine-like" style.
taking a note straight from Audrey Hepburn's character in "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and the dress was lost in theatrical styling that made it more costume than couture. She added a Hepburn-esque necklace, elbow-length black gloves, a simple chignon, and heels -- and threw on a pair of sunglasses to complete the look. Anna Faris wore the design for the New York screening of "What's Your Number" on Tuesday. Faris made the most of the little black dress by simplifying the style, skipping accessories (and the leather gloves) and pairing it only with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. The result was a chic and elegant use of the sleeveless Moschino design, with peplum and a bow. Peplum, the skirt attached to the waistline of a dress, is a significant new runway trend. So despite the different translations, both stars are "ahead of the game."
