Joseph Gordon-Levitt apologizes, clarifies ‘most pretty girls aren’t funny’ comment
Joseph Gordon-Levitt admits he "did misspeak" when he said that "most pretty girls aren't funny" last week at a Comic-Con panel, sparking an outcry from fans.

The 31-year-old "Dark Knight Rises" star made the verbal misstep while attempting to compliment his "Looper" co-star Emily Blunt on Friday.
At the European premiere of the new Batman film in London on Wednesday, Gordon-Levitt told omg! that he "was really embarrassed" about what he had said.

"I'm actually really glad you asked me about that," he said. "Sometimes the words come out really wrong in front of thousands of people and I do apologize."
The actor went on to explain what he actually meant to say.

"What I was trying to get at was in our culture, girls do tend to get pigeonholed," Gordon-Levitt said. "I was trying -- and failing -- to pay [Blunt] a compliment about the fact she really succeeded in avoiding those traps and not getting pigeonholed, even though she's a very good-looking young woman."
He concluded with another compliment for his British "Looper" co-star, this time without offending anyone.
"She is so funny and plays such a bad-a-- and a strong woman," he said.
Now that's something we can stand behind.
