Alaska Supreme Court rules against Miller in Senate race

The Alaska Supreme Court has ruled against Joe Miller's bid for a recount in the state's Senate race.

Per the Anchorage Daily News's Sean Cockerham, the court issued a written ruling declaring the state's election board can proceed with officially certifying a winner in the long-delayed race.

According to unofficial results released last month, incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, who ran as a write-in, bested her GOP rival by more than 10,000 votes.

But Miller has also sued in federal court to stop the state from declaring a winner, charging election irregularities. He's threatened to take his case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
