Biden to host online ‘fireside hangout’ on gun violence

Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday will host an online public chat on gun violence, his office announced Wednesday.

People can suggest questions ahead of time for the 30-minute "fireside hangout," which will focus on the White House's policy recommendations on gun control. The 1:45 p.m. chat will be hosted on Google +. Guy Kawasaki, co-founder of Alltop and former "chief evangelist" at Apple, and YouTube star Phil DeFranco are among the guests, and the moderator will be Hari Sreenivasan from "PBS NewsHour."

The White House has hosted past Google + hangouts, including one with President Barack Obama in January 2012 regarding his State of the Union address.
