    Bon Jovi hitches Air Force One ride to NYC fundraiser with Obama

    Rocker Jon Bon Jovi hitched a ride aboard Air Force One on Monday, zipping up to New York City to perform at a gala fundraiser for President Barack Obama — one of three campaign events to scoop up cash for the Democrat's reelection.

    The party, held at the luxury Waldorf Astoria hotel, will only have 500 faces, not a million. But Bon Jovi, a long-time supporter of Democratic presidential candidates, was sure to rock them all.

    Obama, joined by former President Bill Clinton, first attended a small reception at a private residence, with 50 people putting up $40,000 each. The gala tickets started at $2,500 per person. The figures came from the president's reelection campaign via the pool reporter with Obama in New York.

    And then Obama was to star at a Broadway concert at the New Amsterdam Theater for 1,700 people, a performance set to feature  Nina Arianda, Kerry Butler, Norbet Leo Butz, Bobby Cannavale, Stockard Channing, Chuck Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Meagn Hilty, Cheyenne Jackson, James Earl Jones, Tony Kushner, Angela Lansbury, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Hattienne Park,  Mandy Patinkin, Patrick Wilson and Jeffrey Wright. Tickets for that event opened at $250. (Unclear: Would Obama try to corner Patinkin for hints on the plot twists in the upcoming season of the drama "Homeland," which the president has repeatedly described as one of his favorite shows?)
