Registered voters gave Christie a 72 percent approval rating, according to a poll taken Nov. 19-25 after superstorm Sandy. Fifty-nine percent of the poll's respondents said Christie's response to Sandy was "excellent," and 36 percent rated his response "good." A breakdown of Democrats shows they felt similarly: 57 percent said the governor's response was "excellent," and 36 percent rated it "good."
Christie officially filed for re-election on Monday, permitting him to begin raising money and campaigning for the 2013 race.
