Chris Christie insists yet again he’s not running in 2012

For what seems to be the millionth time, Chris Christie insisted Tuesday he is absolutely not running for president in 2012.

"I'm 100 percent certain I'm not going to run," Christie told CNN's Piers Morgan.

Despite pressure from key Republicans, the New Jersey governor again insisted he's just "not ready" for a national race—even if there are signs he could easily win the GOP nomination.

"To put it really simply… if I ever were to make that decision, I wouldn't want to say, 'I know I can win, I hope I'm ready.' I'd rather say, 'I know I'm ready, I hope I can win,' Christie told CNN. "That's not that way I am making this decision. I'm making this decision."

Still, in comments that are sure to keep his 2012 buzz alive, Christie said he doesn't yet view of the current field of 2012 contenders as "the best option," even though several of candidates "impress" him personally.

"I don't think any of them have yet distinguished themselves to say this is the best person not only to take on Barack Obama, but more importantly, to lead our nation in the next four years after this election," Christie said.

The governor's comments come amid word he planned to lunch today with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is considering a second bid for the GOP nomination.
