    Colorado congressman calls movie theater shooter ‘a psychotic son of a bitch’

    Colorado Democratic Rep. Ed Perlmutter, who represents the district where 12 people were killed Friday in a shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, called the suspect "a psychotic son of a bitch."

    Perlmutter said he was in Washington, D.C., at the time of the shooting and heard the news through a White House alert.

    "I got an alert about an hour ago from the White House that this had occurred," Perlmutter said, according to a recording of a radio interview with 850 KOA News Radio. "We finished voting late last night, and then to have a psychotic son of a bitch like this do something ... sorry for the cussing, you know, it just is boggling to my mind."

    "It was diabolic," he added.
