Crossroads GPS hits Obama on the economy in new ad

Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies, a nonprofit sister group to the American Crossroads super PAC, unveiled another issue ad attacking President Barack Obama Tuesday, which will air over the next 10 days in a handful of swing states.

The spot, entitled "News," hits Obama on the rate of economic growth during his administration and begins with CBS news anchor Scott Pelley's July report calling the growth rate "the worst economic recovery America has ever had." The ad goes on to blame the sluggish job numbers on the president's economic policies.

The group behind the ads, which is not required to disclose its donors, plans to spend $11 million airing it in Florida, Iowa, Colorado, North Carolina, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
