John Edwards may be facing as many as five years in prison and tens of thousands of dollars in fines for allegedly violating campaign laws to cover up an affair with a former staffer. But the former Democratic presidential hopeful was photographed smiling in his official mug shot released by the U.S. Marshal Service today--a move that seems to channel other disgraced politicians including Tom DeLay.
