Even presidents have to prepare. Straight out of central casting, the Obama campaign has asked Senator John Kerry, D-Mass., to stand in for Mitt Romney in mock debates. The news first appeared via The Washington Post.
Like Romney, Kerry hails from Massachusetts. But the similarities don't stop there. Both come from wealthy families, both are tall and lean, and both have glorious heads of hair. And they both know their way around a podium.
Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod said, "There is no one that has more experience or understanding of the presidential debate process than John Kerry. He's an expert debater who has a fundamental mastery of a wide range of issues, including Mitt Romney's Massachusetts. He's the obvious choice."
