    June unemployment rate out Friday, plus more to watch for this weekend in politics

    The biggest politics story on Friday is the June unemployment number, which the Labor Department will release at 8:30 a.m. EDT.

    Analysts forecast the economy gained only 90,000 jobs last month, according to an Associated Press story citing a FactSet survey. If they're correct, June would mark the third straight month of weak job growth. The unemployment rate is expected to remain at 8.2 percent.

    President Barack Obama, who is on the second day of a two-day campaign bus tour of Ohio and Pennsylvania, will address the jobs number soon after it's released, and Mitt Romney, who is near the end of an annual family vacation in Wolfeboro, N.H., is likely to provide his analysis, too.     Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty,  both mentioned as possible Romney running mates, will wrap up their own two-day bus tour through Ohio and Pennsylvania on Friday. They have been in the battleground states campaigning for Romney.

    Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, also mentioned as a Romney running mate, continues his book tour Friday in South Carolina and North Carolina, signing copies of his autobiography "An American Son: A Memoir." He'll wrap up the tour Saturday in Virginia.

    Also on Saturday, Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio, another possible Romney running mate, will attend a fundraiser in Concord for the New Hampshire Republican Party, and Speaker of the House John Boehner will attend a Romney campaign office opening in Liberty Township, Ohio.

    Romney's vacation comes to an end on Sunday when he attends New York fundraisers in The Hamptons.

    Meanwhile, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's former pastor, will be in Washington Sunday to give a sermon at the Florida Avenue Baptist Church Centennial Worship Service.

    Also worth noting: Friday marks four months until the Nov. 6 presidential election.

    And then there is this: Former first lady Nancy Reagan turns 91 on Friday, and former President George W. Bush turns 66.
