Mark Foley considering a return to politics

Former Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.), who resigned from Congress after it was revealed he had sent sexual messages to teenage boys who served as House pages, is considering a political comeback.

Foley tells the Palm Beach Post's Andrew Abramson that he's thinking about running for mayor of West Palm Beach.

Foley, who has taken tentative steps back into the public eye since his shamefaced exit from the House, says he's not sure he's ready to give up his privacy and face renewed public scrutiny over the scandal that ended his congressional career.

But, Foley adds, "I do have the luxury that I can be the last man to file if I choose to and still have the name ID."
